Only Female Mosquitoes Bite
More About Me
I founded Only Female Mosquitoes Bite as a passion-project to continually improve my media writing skills and share exciting biology stories. As a Zoologist, Science Broadcasting researcher and science writer, my posts will focus on the natural sciences and conservation. Dive in if you're so inclined - it'll be a trip!
Hannah is a 26-year-old, born to a Belgium mother and Blackpudlian Father, she grew up bilingual in Oxford at the European School Culham. A big animal lover, she went on to study biological sciences (zoology) at the University of Edinburgh - graduating with first-class honours in 2022. She graduated from her MSc in Science Media Production at Imperial in 2025. A former tour guide, pub-quiz host and student radio host - she is a big lover of communicating science and public speaking. She has an adventurous spirit, enjoys scuba-diving, and was the past president and sustainability officer at the University of Edinburgh's skydiving club, as well as an A-licensed skydiver.
In her free time, she loves to sing, play guitar, wild-swim, learn languages, sketch and record entries as a citizen scientist.
She's currently working on season 9 of 'Surgeons: At the Edge of Life' and has worked on Projects for the BBC, Channel 5 and Apple podcasts. She is aiming to ascend to a producer position in science broadcasting.
